Obituary for Noel Hugh "Jumaine" Samuels Jr.
Noel Hugh Samuels Jr. AKA Jumaine was born on April 10th, 1989 to parents Chyrl and Noel Samuels Sr.
Noel is the fourth child who lived his pre-teen years between Queens, New York and Norfolk, Virginia. He relocated back to New York in his early teenage years.
Noel loved to play basketball, chess, and crossword puzzles. He was extremely excited about being a father. When Noel found out he was expecting a son everyone received the call: “I did it, it’s a boy!”. He loved fatherhood. His son Joel was the highlight of his life - his entire world.
Noel was a kind and compassionate person who was loved by all who knew him. He was a loving father as well as a loving friend who would always lend a hand if you needed him.
With Noel’s untimely passing, we will take comfort in the knowledge that his memory will live on in those who loved him:
His only son Joel B. Samuels (JoJo) and his mother Terrena Roberts; parents Chyrl and Noel Samuels; brothers Ortheil, Brock Sr, Jamie (Little Jay); sisters Tammy, Ann-Marie (Eisha); nephews Isaia, Joshua, Shatique, Tye, Willie (Dugga), Anthony Jr, Makhail, Brock Jr; nieces Loni, Dayla, Talia (TeTe), Taylor, Payton; aunts Zadie, Jennifer, Rose-Marie; uncles Wayne, Joseph; as well as Joel’s aunt Terrasia Roberts and uncle Terrance Wallace.
Many cousins, uncles, and great uncles will cherish his memory along with friends and acquaintances.
